HYDRAULIC PRESSURE GENERATORS

FOR CREATING HYDRAULIC PRESSURES TO 30K PSI

These units are used for generating bursting test pressures on cylinders and other equipment and are used with pressure balances.

A unit consists of a heavy-walled cylinder with a hand operated piston.  The piston is packed to prevent leakage and has longitudinal motion without rotation.  The screw thread and handle are so proportioned as to insure pressures to 30,000 psi without undue strain on the operator.

In systems where gas may be trapped or occluded in the liquid, it frequently happens that a single complete displacement of the piston will not raise the system to the desired pressure.  In that event, a series of pumping cycles is necessary to obtain the desired pressures.
