4-3/8 INCH O.D. SERIES
REACTION VESSELS
The Bodies of these vessels are bored from solid forgings
and are 4 3/8-in. outside diameter. Four standard inside diameters and three standard depths are available, as listed in the ordering information table. To facilitate removal of the closure, two flats at the bottom of the vessel permit it to be held in the Vise.
Standard closures, which are of the outside-cap type, have two female connections for 1/4-in. o. d.
SUPERPRESSURE TUBING
. When only one connection is to be used, the extra opening may be closed with Plug No. 45-11320.
The standard closure is fitted with a thermowell
that extends downward to two-thirds of the depth of the vessel.
If extra gaskets are required, specify the catalog number of the reaction vessel, also the gasket metal (flat gaskets are made of copper or stainless steel; delta gaskets are made of alloy or stainless steel).
On special order it is possible to obtain such variations as bottom connections, internal cooling coils, electrical connections, and vessels and gaskets of special material.
