THERMOCOUPLE ASSEMBLIES

FOR PRESSURES UP TO 80,000 PSI AND TEMPERATURES TO 1000°F.

Thermocouple assemblies consist of an iron-contantan couple welded at the tip and designed for installation in

reaction vessels

and various types of fittings where ¼ standard Superpressure openings are provided. A REDUCER BUSHING must be purchased additionally when the assemblies are to be used in equipment having standard 3/8 or 9/16 inch H. P. openings.

Each couple is built into a

high-pressure compression fitting

and can be installed merely by tightening a gland nut in the same manner as when making a Superpressure connection.

The mass of the couple is small so that rapid changes in temperature are readily followed. The thermocouple assembly may be removed and installed without damage as frequently as desired.

The plug and sheath of the thermocouple tip are made of 347 stainless steel. The gland nut is 416 stainless steel.

The assembly is provided with a terminal block connector to which customer’s thermocouple lead wires may be attached.
