MICRO SERIES REACTION VESSELS

The bodies of these vessels are 2-9/16-in outside diameter by 11 ¾-in overall length, and are bored from solid forgings.
There are four standard sizes which vary only in inside dimensions. Since all vessels have the same outside dimensions, any Micro Series Reaction Vessel may be used interchangeably in the same heating jacket.

Two machined flats at the bottom of the vessel permit it to be held in a vise when it is desired to remove the head.

In the Type A vessel, a thermowell in the interior of the vessel in not normally included because of the small capacity of the chamber. However, a thermowell is included at the innermost surface of the heating jacket to provide for the measurement of surface temperature. A thermocouple assembly (which must be ordered separately) may be inserted into the chamber of the Type B vessel through the top by virtue of the fact that an additional side-entrance connection through the collector ring is provided on this type of vessel.

The heads of these vessels are of the outside-cap compression type. The Type A vessel has one female connection for ¼-in o.d. Superpressure Tubing. The Type B vessel is provided with an extended head, collector ring and and additional female connection for ¼-in o. d. Superpressure Tubing through the collector ring.
